In Love With Coral

Hi everyone!  I recently just got my nails done with these two gorgeous colors!  I love to paint my nails with bright and coral colors, especially for this season…I definitely need to buy it for myself one of these days!  On my hands I'm wearing "Boat House" by Essie, which is a beautiful coral red; and on my feet I'm wearing "Vermillionaire" by Essie, which is a really pretty orange color.  I think these colors will look amazing on tan skin for the summer time!

Hey everyone! It has been such a long time since I've written a blog post, but I am finally back into the swing of things and ready to get back into blogging!  Phew!  Anyways, I wanted to share a favorite look that I've been rocking lately...and its nude!  I went to MAC and purchased the "Viva Glam V" lustre lipstick and the Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in "Nice N Spicy."  The Viva Glam V is a nude, creamy lipstick with a gold shimmer--perfect for the summer and flattering on many skin tones.   It's very sheer, so I like to pair this with the lip pencil because it enhances the nude color to my lips!

*The key to doing this is by outlining AND filling in your lips with the lip pencil!

Dark Lips

So we all know the classic look is the smokey eye paired with a nude lip.  But dark lipsticks are really starting to become a popular makeup trend--even for daytime looks.  Dark lips look really great with a neutral eyeshadow and lots of mascara.  

*Remember: always go easy on the eyes when doing a dark lip!  Keep it balanced!

I have two favorites that I recently tried at MAC: "Rebel" (satin plum) & "Viva Glam 1" (matte burgundy/dark red)

The Perfect Brows

When doing your makeup, it's important to fill in your eyebrows because it helps to frame the face.  You just have to find the right shade to do so!  I love the Anastasia Brow Wiz because it helps to fill in sparse areas in such a natural way--you can't even tell you penciled them in!  To get the best results, I use short strokes with a light touch to fill in my eyebrows.  Then, I use the spooley brush to even everything out and brush the hairs into place.  So easy!

Brighten Your Outfit!

I've noticed a lot of celebrities adding bold/neon colors to their evening and daytime outfits--and I love it!  I think these colors express adventure and confidence.  If you don't want to go all the way, I suggest  wearing a brightly colored top with black or neutral pants.  Or you can even wear a neutral outfit and pair it with bright pumps!  It's a bold, yet simple elegance :)  Look at the pictures below for some ideas!

Healthy Makeup

Hi everyone! So a few days ago, I went to the mall with my mom and we stopped by Bare Escentuals--I was in heaven!  The makeup that they have is free of preservatives and fillers, and it looks absolutely flawless on your skin!  You can't go wrong with makeup that's good for your skin!

I decided to have some fun and play around with the makeup that they have.  I tried on some new eyeshadow colors, their liquid eyeliner (which is in powder form that you have to mix with water--so cool!), and a gorgeous red lipstick :)  The look I have on is very natural and I think it's great for the daytime or evening.

My NYC Trip!

So this past weekend I went to NYC with my best friend, Laura.  We had a blast!  We went to this really cool lounge in midtown and were able to have food and drinks on the roof top...such an amazing view!

The next day we went shopping in Soho!  And of course you know I had to go into DASH ;)  Even though everything was way out of my price range, I was so curious to see what fashion the Kardashians sold inside.  This store is so popular that there was literally a line of girls outside waiting to get in...along with intense security at the door...crazy!
