Dark Lips

So we all know the classic look is the smokey eye paired with a nude lip.  But dark lipsticks are really starting to become a popular makeup trend--even for daytime looks.  Dark lips look really great with a neutral eyeshadow and lots of mascara.  

*Remember: always go easy on the eyes when doing a dark lip!  Keep it balanced!

The Perfect Brows

When doing your makeup, it's important to fill in your eyebrows because it helps to frame the face.  You just have to find the right shade to do so!  I love the Anastasia Brow Wiz because it helps to fill in sparse areas in such a natural way--you can't even tell you penciled them in!  To get the best results, I use short strokes with a light touch to fill in my eyebrows.  Then, I use the spooley brush to even everything out and brush the hairs into place.  So easy!

Brighten Your Outfit!

I've noticed a lot of celebrities adding bold/neon colors to their evening and daytime outfits--and I love it!  I think these colors express adventure and confidence.  If you don't want to go all the way, I suggest  wearing a brightly colored top with black or neutral pants.  Or you can even wear a neutral outfit and pair it with bright pumps!  It's a bold, yet simple elegance :)  Look at the pictures below for some ideas!
